One Direction sweep MTV's Video Music Awards, Rihanna wins top prize

Los Angeles hosted this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday evening. One of the more informal yet entertaining award shows came and gone with the bigger musical acts sweeping the indie critic favorites for the fan-voted awards.
